Originally uploaded by Trefur spent my mid-day doing one of my final dips for the bronze pour that we have coming up. i am pretty excited, seeing as i have put probably close to 100 hours into concept, drawings, carving wax, setting up a pour system, dipping and covering this green goo in sand and finally cutting it apart and fixing any damage. but when i finish i will have a beautiful (hopefully) bronze sculpture. it is exciting because i am finally using a "high art" medium. not that i have not been proud of my work till now (this is not even close to my favorite thing i have done) but this one will be very shiny and polished looking.
ill post photos of the finished product. and if we are lucky some of the bronze pour. hot molten bronze pouring into a fragile cremic shell? how could that not be cool?
